Hair loss and scalp care

Are you finding more hair on your brush, in the shower, or on your pillow? Do you feel like your ponytail is thinner, your part is wider, or your scalp is starting to show through more?

You might think it’s just a phase. You may have already bought several "anti-hair loss" shampoos, serums, or supplements, and you are still waiting to finally see a change.

But hair loss is not one problem with one solution.

And that is why, for me, care does not start with the question:
"Which shampoo should we sell you?"

It starts with the question:
"What is happening with your hair and scalp, and what is the next logical step for you?"

First, I need to understand what is happening to your hair

We naturally lose a certain amount of hair every day. It is important to pay attention when the shedding is more significant than before, lasts for a longer time, or you begin to see changes in hair density.

During the consultation, I am therefore interested in:

  • when you first noticed increased shedding,

  • whether it started suddenly or gradually,

  • whether the hair is thinning all over the head or only in specific areas,

  • whether your part or hairline is changing,

  • whether the hair is actually falling out from the root or if it is breaking,

  • how often you wash your hair,

  • whether your scalp is oily, itchy, burning, or flaky,

  • what products you are using,

  • whether the problem was preceded by stress, illness, significant weight loss, childbirth, or hormonal changes.

Only then can we set up a meaningful care routine.

I don't want you to continue buying new bottles using a trial-and-error method.

Why hair may start to fall out more

There can be many causes.

Increased shedding may be related to, for example:

  • long-term or intense stress,

  • hormonal changes,

  • the postpartum period,

  • genetic predisposition,

  • significant weight loss,

  • unbalanced diet or lack of certain nutrients,

  • certain health issues,

  • thyroid function,

  • certain medications,

  • long-term pulling of hair in tight hairstyles,

  • a problematic scalp,

  • inappropriately set home care.

And here it is important to say something that I consider the foundation of trust:

Not every type of hair loss can be solved by cosmetics.

If I see that the problem might have a medical cause, I will recommend further examination. I do not want to promise you something that cosmetic care cannot fulfill.

Hair loss and hair breakage are not the same

Many people confuse these.

If the hair is coming out from the root, we are dealing with a different problem than when a damaged hair shaft is breaking along the lengths.

Breakage is often related to:

  • lightening,

  • high temperatures,

  • chemical damage,

  • mechanical friction,

  • insufficient protection of the lengths.

True hair loss, on the other hand, is related to the hair cycle and the state of the hair follicle.

That is why just knowing "your hair is falling out" is not enough for me. I need to know exactly what is happening.

Healthy hair starts at the scalp

Many people choose shampoo based on the lengths of their hair.

"I have dry hair; I need a nourishing shampoo."

However, we use shampoo primarily on the scalp.

If you have dry lengths but a very oily scalp, you need a different approach than someone with a dry and sensitive scalp.

Properly set-up care starts with scalp balance.

What you can do at home

The basics are surprisingly simple:

  • wash your hair according to the needs of your scalp,

  • use a suitably chosen shampoo,

  • apply the shampoo primarily to the roots,

  • gently massage the scalp with your fingertips,

  • do not scratch it with your nails,

  • rinse products thoroughly,

  • apply masks and conditioners according to their intended use,

  • protect the lengths from heat and mechanical damage,

  • do not unnecessarily weigh down the scalp with quantities of oils, serums, and styling products.

And most importantly:

If your scalp gets oily quickly, there is no need to be afraid to wash your hair.

Hair that comes out during washing is generally already in the final phase of the hair cycle. You will not stop its shedding by delaying washing.

Which ingredients can make sense in hair care

There is no single "miracle" ingredient here either.

Depending on the condition of the scalp, we can work, for example, with products containing:

Caffeine

It is often used in cosmetic products focused on thinning hair and supporting the scalp.

I view it as a supportive component of care, not as a replacement for alopecia treatment.

Rosemary

It is one of the interesting botanical ingredients used in care focused on the scalp and weakened hair.

Serenoa serrulata (Saw Palmetto)

It appears in some specialized formulations designed for the care of gradually thinning hair.

Niacinamide

It helps support the skin barrier and the overall condition of the scalp.

Panthenol

It is especially suitable when there is a need for hydration and soothing of the scalp, while also supporting the comfort of the hair shaft.

Glycerin, betaine, and other humectants

They help maintain hydration, which is especially important for dry, tight, or sensitive scalps.

Piroctone olamine

It can be a suitable part of care for dandruff and excessive flaking.

Amino acids and hydrolyzed proteins

They primarily help improve the appearance and resistance of the hair shaft itself and reduce breakage.

However, I do not choose the right product based on just one ingredient. The entire composition and what your scalp actually needs is what decides.

Professional ORising care

In our studio, we also work with ORising professional hair cosmetics.

There is no one ORising line that I would automatically recommend to everyone with hair loss.

Depending on the specific problem, I select products and professional formulations that may contain, for example:

  • caffeine,

  • rosemary,

  • Serenoa serrulata,

  • vitamin B6,

  • zinc and copper,

  • nettle,

  • sage,

  • thyme,

  • cinchona,

  • panthenol,

  • amino acids,

  • hydrolyzed proteins,

  • other botanical and supportive complexes.

A woman after a period of increased stress will need different care than a man with a gradually receding hairline, and different care than a client with an oily, itchy scalp and weakened lengths.

That is why you will not get a product from me just because the bottle says "anti-hair loss."

How we help in our studio

First, we will go over the condition of your scalp, your hair, and your current routine together.

Depending on the needs, we can focus professional care on:

  • thorough and gentle scalp cleansing,

  • removal of excess sebum and buildup,

  • care for sensitive or irritated skin,

  • hydration,

  • professional lotions and serums,

  • care for the weakened hair shaft,

  • setting up a suitable home routine.

I don't want to do one treatment and say, "We'll see."

I want you to know what we are doing, why we are doing it, and what we can realistically expect from each step.

Targeted cocktails and mesotherapeutic care

For suitable clients, we can also expand professional programming to include targeted scalp care with professional cocktails, depending on the specific product and chosen method.

These may contain combinations of substances focused, for example, on:

  • scalp hydration,

  • supporting its regeneration,

  • overall skin condition,

  • supporting the environment in which the hair grows.

If we work with microneedling or another method that disrupts the skin surface, we only use products intended for that application method.

It is not about "injecting" as many active ingredients as possible. It is about a safely chosen procedure for a specific person.

Exosomal care

Depending on suitability, we can also include world-class exosomal formulations designed for the scalp in modern professional care.

I use them as part of regeneration programs focused on the overall condition and support of the scalp environment.

However, I will not present exosomes to you as a miracle ampoule after which new hair will start growing in a few days.

They make the most sense as one part of a whole program – together with proper home care, professional treatments, and where needed, medical examination.

Home care decides every day

Professional treatment can be an important part of the program, but between visits, your scalp is in your hands every day.

That is why I don't want to design a complicated routine with ten products for you.

Often, we primarily need:

the right shampoo → targeted scalp care → suitable care and protection for the lengths.

And as the condition changes, we will also change the products as needed.

What the skin needs today may not be what it needs in six months.

When I will rather send you to a dermatologist

I consider this one of the most important parts of professional care.

If the shedding is:

  • sudden and very intense,

  • bald patches are forming,

  • hair is thinning rapidly and visibly,

  • the scalp is severely inflamed or painful,

  • the problem is accompanied by other health issues,

I will recommend a medical or dermatological examination. There may be hormonal, genetic, nutritional, or health causes behind the hair loss that we cannot solve with cosmetics alone.

To me, trust means not only knowing how I can help you, but also recognizing the moment when you need a different specialist.

Don't wait until your part is even wider

Maybe you check your brush every day.

Maybe when looking at a photo from above, you automatically check if too much scalp is already visible.

Maybe you are afraid to touch your hair because you feel like every next hair will end up in your hand.

You don't have to stay in this alone, and you don't have to keep trying everything that advertising or social media recommends.

At myIdealSkin, we will first look at your scalp and current care, I will explain what makes sense for you, and together we will set up a specific plan.

Depending on needs, we can combine professional ORising care, targeted scalp treatments, professional cocktails, suitably chosen exosomal care, and a simple home routine.

I will not promise you the impossible.

However, I will guide you so that you finally know what to do with your hair, what to expect from your care, and when it is necessary to take the next step.

Book an expert hair care consultation. Together, we will find out what your scalp and hair truly need – and stop trying products blindly.
